Who we are
Carrom Daily ("we", "us") is an online carrom game for Android and iOS operated by Gossdhosting. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact us any time at [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account identifiers. When you play as a guest, Unity Authentication creates an anonymous player ID for your device. If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your Facebook app-scoped user ID and, if you allow it, your public name and profile picture. We never receive your Facebook password.
- Profile and game data. Your display name, level, experience points, in-game coins and gems, items you own, missions, daily-reward progress, match results and statistics, friends list and friend requests.
- Chat. In-match text chat and quick phrases are delivered through Unity Vivox. Messages are filtered for offensive words. If a player reports a match, a short excerpt of the chat is stored for moderators to review.
- Purchases. If you buy gems, the app store (Google Play or the App Store) processes the payment. We receive a purchase receipt to verify and deliver your gems; we never receive your card details.
- Technical data. A device identifier used to keep your session signed in, IP address (for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention), app version and basic diagnostics needed to keep matches fair and the service running.
How we use it
- To run your account, save your progress and show your name, level and stats to other players.
- To match you with opponents, run matches on our servers and calculate rewards fairly.
- To provide friends, presence ("online" / "in a match") and leaderboards.
- To prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and to moderate reported chat.
- To verify and deliver purchases.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party advertising in the game.
Who we share it with
- Unity Technologies — authentication, voice/text chat (Vivox) and game services.
- Meta (Facebook) — only if you choose Facebook login.
- Google and Apple — app stores and payment processing.
- Hosting providers that run our servers and databases on our behalf.
- Other players see your display name, level, statistics and the messages you send in a match.
- Authorities, if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Purchase and moderation records may be kept longer where the law requires it (for example tax or fraud-prevention records). When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Change your display name in Settings.
- Mute chat in a match and report players.
- Request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion — see Delete account.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA, or India under the DPDP Act) you may have additional rights. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Carrom Daily is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Passwords for staff tools are hashed, access is role-based and logged, and match results are decided only by our servers.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and show the new date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
